Malachi 1:6-14

II. The function of God’s priests in the OT was three fold:

     c) They sought God’s                                         for the nation

1. Jesus’ work on the cross has made Him our High Priest                                                  

   Heb. 3:1

1. a)  As believers in Christ we are described in 1 Pet. 2:9                  

as a  “Royal Priesthood”
